Italy offers tax advantages for foreign retirees, who decide to transfer their tax residence to Italy. The main measure is a flat tax extremely competitive on all income earned abroad: the regime provides a flat-rate tax of 7% on all foreign-source income for 10 years, if they settle in specific municipalities in Southern Italy with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.
